NAIRN-BASED private water supply firm HighWater has been granted the honour of a Royal Warrant by the Queen.

A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh or the Prince of Wales or their households.

The growing Nairn company, founded 20 years ago, installs private water supplies to households and businesses, including large-scale schemes such as wind farm developments.

Commercial director Richard Innes said he was delighted with the achievement but he said he had to remain tight-lipped on the specifics of the work carried out for the Royal family because there are strict rules around the details that can be disclosed.

He said: “The staff at HighWater are delighted to have had their hard work recognised by Her Majesty the Queen.

“This is a real stamp of excellence. We are so proud of our business.

“We have 35 people and we’re trying our best to deliver a high-quality service, which is why we’ve been granted this.”
