Norwegian man Atle Korsmo (55) tackled a long route from Inverness to Fort William last week on roller skis over a period of four days.

The roller blade with ski contraption made for an interesting ride as he went alongside the iconic Loch Ness on Thursday with friend and colleague Ingvald Storjord.

It was Ingvald's first roller ski trip, which went well for both.

Atle, from Oslo, has always done skiing and was event a test jumper in the Canada Olympics in 1988.

He decided to take on the challenge as he wanted to do something fun, take on some serious exercise and see other places at the same time.

Sponsored by Gull Sport, each year he will roller ski in a different country.

Up next is the Philippines, Vietnam and Transnistria.

Atle and Ingvald were accompanied by their wives who drove behind the pair with hazard lights on to keep them safe.

Atle's wife Hanne said it was nice to be in such a beautiful country.
