The many volunteers who help to keep a vital lifeboat station up and running have been thanked for their efforts at a special social gathering.

Members of the RNLI Loch Ness crew, their families and the many other shore-based fundraisers and volunteers who help to support the station, got together last week for a tasty meal at the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel.

"It takes a village," said a spokesperson for RNLI Loch Ness. "Fundraising, shore and boat crews alike could not volunteer as they do without the support of their families, the camaraderie of their friends and the acknowledgement of their employers and the wider community."

"So much to celebrate and be grateful for. Thank you crew!"

They added: "Thank you to the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel and their staff for a beautiful meal."

A spokesman for the Loch Ness Clansman Hotel responded: "Delighted to have hosted all you lovely people for the evening."
