An Inverness pub which has reopened under new management has had a 'brilliant' couple of months.

The Blacksmiths in Culloden reopened at the end of last year after undergoing a refurbishment overseen by Heineken.

New operator Matthew MacGillivray (23) said: "It's been absolutely brilliant since we opened. We've been busier than we expected and it's been well received by everyone.

"It's been a good manic seven weeks which has kept me out of trouble!"

A whole new team have come on board with 11 people now employed at the pub, which serves 'pub grub' everyday from 12pm to 8pm.

Mr MacGillivray added: "The place has a new fresh look and it looks brilliant.

"I would just like to thank everyone who has graced our doors over the past two months and made it all possible."
