AN anti-bullying website launched in Inverness by a local MSP and former shop workers has received a “very positive” response.

Highlands, Islands and Moray MSP Rhoda Grant said she is delighted after the Tobie site, which launched on Monday, was inundated with messages of support.

She said: “Since Monday I have been stopped and informed of constituents’ individual experiences at the hands of the bullies. We have received supportive and positive emails from a variety of people and organisations.”

“It is important that those of us who can effect change, whether that be legislative, cultural or within society, do all we can, to make sure this horrible behavioural action gets eradicated or at least becomes no longer acceptable under any circumstance”.

“Please, please, if you suffer at the hands of bullies visit our site and hopefully there you will find information that will help you deal with or take action against the bully”.

Ms Grant launched the website alongside several former workers from the Smyths Toys store in the Highland Capital. They recently accused their former bosses of bullying them and treating them like slaves, although the firm insists it has investigated the claims and taken “appropriate action” where it deemed it necessary.
