Recovering Invergordon drug addict fined for theft of jeans from Marks and Spencer after appearance at Inverness Sheriff Court

The woman admitted committing the theft last year.

Wendy Stewart (44), of Kilmuir Place, Invergordon took the £56 worth of clothing from Marks and Spencer in Inverness on May 12 last year.

The items were recovered, Inverness Sheriff Court was told.

Defence solicitor Rory Gowans told Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood: "She has been drug free and offence free for a year. At this time, she was struggling financially and is ashamed of her conduct."

Stewart was fined £290.
