Children stepped up to the mark for the first anniversary of junior parkrun at the weekend, with well over 100 finishers crossing the line.

Organisers had called for a big turnout in the build-up to the birthday bash, and they were not let down, with a record turnout for the Inverness event.

A total of 122 kids, aged between four and 14, went through the finishing funnel – including 14 first timers.
