Highland Council announces a number of road closures during Sunday's Race for Life event in Inverness

A number of roads will be closed in Inverness this weekend due to the Race for Life 5K and 10K events.

The roads order will apply on Sunday between 8am and 3.30pm and the restrictions are necessary to ensure the safety of participants in Cancer Research UK's events.

Vehicles will not be permitted on the following roads between the above times:

• Bught Road, Inverness will be closed at its junction with Bught Avenue to its junction with Ness Walk Upper.

• Ness Walk Upper will be closed at its junction with Bught Road to its junction with Ballifeary Lane.

• Ness Walk Upper will be closed at its junction with Ballifeary Lane to its junction with Bishop's Road.

• Ardross Terrace will be closed at its junction with Ness Walk and its junction with Ardross Street.

• Ness Walk will be closed at its junction with Young Street to its junction with Ardross Terrace.

• Castle Road will be closed at its junction with Haugh Road and its junction with Bridge Street.

• And Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens Road will be closed between its junction with Castle Road and Island Bank Road.
