A supermarket is appealing to budding young artists to bring one of its large windows to life in a blaze of colourful pictures.

Tesco have put the call out to all young kids who like to draw, paint or design to fill the space at its Inshes store in Inverness.

Tesco Inshes team manager Paul Queen said: “We have the space and we just felt it would be good to do something with it, particularly at a time when kids are all stuck in the house.

“It’s a chance for them to get a bit creative and showcase what they can do. We’ll be giving out some spot prizes every week for the next few weeks.

“It just brings a bit of positivity and fun in these difficult times. We all know the effect this pandemic is having on so many, so we want to share some positivity with the community and put a smile on people's faces when they come to shop with us.”

All families wishing to take part can hand in their artwork with name and age details on the picture, to the store’s customer service desk.
