Some 14 years after opening a Highland capital studio, Threesixty Architecture has moved into its new studio on Academy Street in the centre of Inverness.

The new studio space, which Threesixty relocated to at the start of 2022, was formed by combining two ground floor units in a mixed-use development, built on the site of a former retail unit.

The studio has been designed as a calm oasis in the city centre.

The new studio is seen by Threesixty as illustrating its commitment to repurpose and repopulate Scotland's urban centres with diverse use buildings to help create and contribute to a vibrant city centre. As such it is a practical manifestation of the firm’s work with the Scottish Government on A Vision for High Street Regeneration.

This national guidance report recommends that workplaces should be considered as a key component to the recovery of high streets and local communities.

As a result, the studio has been designed to be "a calm, welcoming oasis" with an open plan workspace, a central social area with a full kitchen and a dedicated meeting space.

Alan Anthony, managing director at Threesixty Architecture, commented: “We have achieved considerable success over the past 14 years in the Highlands which led to us outgrowing our previous studio. These larger premises not only accommodate this growth and future expansion, it is also an investment in our passion for urban regeneration.”
