Green-fingered primary pupils are hoping to create a colourful floral corner for residents and visitors in a Highland village.
P5 and P6 pupils from Strathdearn Primary School helped to scatter flower seeds and throw flower bombs near the entrance of Tomatin Distillery.
Expansion plans for distillery
They were invited to take part by resident Alan Hardwick who co-ordinated the project.
They were joined by Inverness South councillors Duncan Macpherson and newly-elected Duncan McDonald and other members of the community including community councillors plus the manager of the distillery, Jamie Muir.
Seed was donated by Highland Council and the project was also supported by the distillery, which helped to prepare the ground, and the community windfarm trust.
Mr Hardwick said: “The idea is to make the village look attractive for visitors and residents and also create a seed bank for the future.”
The seeds included wild flowers and cultivated flowers.
“The seeds included a mix of annuals for this year and perennials to give as long a lasting display as possible,” Mr Hardwick said.
