The plan, Together We Care, will be based off public responses and ideas to shape how NHS Highland go forward with its provision of healthcare.

It hopes that the feedback will help to structure a plan that will provide the right care when needed to the right people.

People in the Highlands are encouraged to share their ideas, input and values with the organisation.

An NHS Highland spokeswoman said: "The demand on our health care service is increasing and this will continue.
"As a health board, we need to make sure that our services can cope with this, now and in the future. We want to ensure that we are providing the right care, at the right time, to the people who need these services."

They are especially encouraging Black, Asian and Ethnic minorities, homeless people and those who are pregnant or new parents to come forward.

The public can do this by either emailing nhsh.togetherwecareideas@nhs.scot, filling in a survey or taking part in an upcoming online public forum hosted by the Together We Care team.

These forums are on the following dates, 10:30am February 19, 7pm February 22, 7pm March 8, 7pm March 16 and 7pm March 22.

The forums can be joined by emailing the above email address.

The survey responses are anonymous and no sessions are recorded.

The spokeswoman continued: "We are keen engage with you and hear all your thoughts and ideas on the future of health and care delivery for 2022-2027. We will read every letter, Facebook comment, survey response, email and idea that we are sent.

"These will be analysed so that we can assess what areas you, the population, think are most important.

"Let’s build a brighter future for health and care. Together. "
