A football trophy which has not been played for in 18 years made a stop-off at council headquarters this week.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Clachnacuddin are set to face each other when The Inverness Cup is contested for the first time since 2005 after both clubs worked together to bring it back into use.

Inverness provost Glynis Campbell-Sinclair got up close to the silverware at Inverness Town House this afternoon, along with ICT chief executive Scot Gardiner and Clachnacuddin chairman Alex Chisholm.

The match is scheduled to take place at Grant Street Park on Tuesday, August 22 with kick-off scheduled for 7.30pm.
