A HIGHLAND hotel which benefits from passing North Coast 500 trade is going on the market for around £650,000.

Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has been instructed to sell The Novar Arms Hotel, in the village of Evanton.

It says The Novar Arms "is a favourite spot amongst the thriving local community".

The hotel also benefits from year-round tourists travelling through the Highlands and taps the North Coast 500 traffic.

The Victorian property has received extensive modern extensions and refurbishment, whilst retaining its historic character and “feature property” status within the village, the seller says.

The hotel also comes with owners' accomodation consisting of a lounge, bedroom and bathroom.

The hotel is open all year round benefiting from the travelling workforce from Invergordon and Nigg, as well as an influx of tourists throughout the summer.

The bar and restaurant "has a healthy turnover" throughout the whole year from the local community through functions and special events.

The hotel has been run by Novar Arms Accommodation Ltd for 11 years, and they have now decided to sell due to retirement.
