Port of Inverness launch hunt for 'general manager' in bid to 'maximise benefits' of freeport
Port of Inverness is on the hunt for a new member of staff to help it maximise the benefits to the area of the new Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport.

The Port has created a new general manager position to provide support to existing chief executive Sinclair Browne and capitalize on the recent increase in enquiries from firms keen to take advantage of the Green Freeport status.
Mr Browne said: “With the huge opportunities our role in the new Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport will bring, there has never been a more exciting time to join us at Port of Inverness. This is a tremendous chance to be part of a team that can deliver real growth for the whole of the Highlands while helping the area lead Scotland’s transition to a sustainable future.”
Forecasts from the Inverness and Cromarty Firth Green Freeport anticipate 10,000 new jobs in the Highlands will be created as a result of Green Freeport status with over £3 billion of fresh investment also set to be attracted to the area.
A business case setting out how the Green Freeport will be developed has been submitted to the Scottish and UK governments and a response is expected in X.
