Drivers are being invited to a pop-up workshop run by the Highland and Islands road policing unit.
It will be held tomorrow and on Thursday February 10 at 10am in the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness.
It marks the relaunch of the Driver Engagement North project which includes interactive technology to test the skills and reactions of drivers
Police Sergeant Neil MacDonald, of the Highland and Islands road policing unit, outlined the aim of the workshop.
"This project aims to reduce casualties and collisions in the north of Scotland by engaging older drivers and their friends and families in a multi-agency led interactive workshop," he said.
"Using an interactive driving simulator designed to assess anticipation, hazard awareness, speed awareness, attentiveness and highlight actual/potential vulnerabilities, participants driving skills and reactions will be tested in a safe environment and educational inputs delivered in addition to on-site provision of specialist support services.
"This education strategy will be supported by respective road and community safety groups and partners to achieve the objective of casualty reduction within this demographic."
