Pop star Rita Ora and new husband Taika Waititi have dressed up to enjoy a special belated Halloween getaway to Shrek’s Swamp in Badenoch.
The couple headed to Ardverikie Estate by Laggan where Dreamworks grumpy ogre’s home has been brought to life.
The location is a 'mud-laden', 'moss-covered' dream come true for fans all over the world including the pop singer and her New Zealand filmmaker and actor husband.
The couple even dressed up as the swamp’s original inhabitants, Shrek and Princess Fiona and Rita shared her visit with her 16 million followers on Instagram.
She tells them: "Welcome wee friends I've gathered you all here today to show you my new house as the married woman of Shrek."
The camera then pans around the house with Taika dressed as Shrek joking: "I've told you Fiona I don't like visitors!"
The pop star says: "Don't mind him, the wee old grumpy pants. He's just an ogre and means no harm."
She signs off saying "Life is great now that I am Princess Fiona Ogre, I think that I chose well."
Shrek chips in: "Get out, we hate visitors."
Rita captioned the clip: “Don’t mind us, we’re just two grown adults dressing up around Shrek’s Swamp.
“Thank you to @airbnb and @bchesky for this amazing stay. And oh yeah – happy late Halloween baby.
“We saved the best till last. PS after filming this I realised Fiona is American but it got too dark to re-film so you’ll have to get a really bad Scottish accent Fiona this year. Your welcome.”
The couple included a blooper at the end of the video in which Rita's Scottish accent goes awry as she tries and fails to open the door to Shrek's house.
Taika can be heard in the background calling his wife’s Scottish accent the 'worst' as they laugh off the blunder off.
Fans of Shrek have been getting the chance to live just like their cantankerous movie hero in the fantasy rural retreat by Loch Laggan.
The accommodation is hosted by Shrek’s best pal Donkey, which the Airbnb booking site describes as “swamp-sitting” for his fellow DreamWorks Animation’s co-star.
“Shrek’s Swamp is lovely,” Donkey writes, “Just beautiful. The perfect place to entertain guests.
“You know what I like about it? Everything. The overgrown landscaping, the modest interiors, the nice boulders, all of it.
“I can’t wait for guests to experience this muddy slice of paradise for themselves.”
To celebrate the launch earlier in the Autumn Airbnb made a donation to the HopScotch Children’s Charity, which provides some of Scotland’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged children with respite breaks through nurturing and dynamic holiday trips.
