The majority of people are against a Workplace Parking Levy (WPL) being imposed from next month according to an online poll.

We asked what you felt about the WPL, which is being introduced by the Scottish Government, which will allow local councils to decide whether or not to impose an annual tax on car parking spaces which are provided by employers.

It is feared it could lead to those who drive to work facing the prospect of having to pay hundreds of pounds a year for a space.

A total of 95 per cent of those who took part disagreed with the prospect while just five per cent were in favour of it.
