POLL RESULT: Majority of people in favour of new stricter coronavirus restrictions announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon last week which were aimed at halting the spread of the new Omicron variant of Covid-19

The majority of participants agree with the new stricter coronavirus restrictions announced by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon last week according to the latest poll.

A total of 56 per cent of those who voted agreed with the move while 44 per cent did not.

They were introduced as the number of cases of the new Omicron variant was rising.
