POLL RESULT: Majority of readers who took part in our survey disagreed with the decision by Highland councillors to grant planning permission for a new hotel meaning that the Ironworks in Inverness will be demolished

The majority of readers who took part in our poll felt that councillors made the wrong decision regarding the Ironworks and a proposed hotel development.

The long-running saga ended yesterday after the hotel was granted planning permission – meaning the music venue will be demolished to make way for it.

We asked if it was the right decision and a massive 95 per cent felt it was wrong while only five per cent agreed with it.
