First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced the Highlands will move into Tier 4 on Boxing Day in a bid to halt the spread of coronavirus.
Tier 4 restrictions will see pubs, bars, gyms, restaurants and all non-essential shops close for three weeks.
School holidays will also be extended to January 11, followed by online learning.
