First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced the Highlands will move into Level 4 on Boxing Day in a bid to halt the spread of a new strain of coronavirus.

But should gyms be included on the list of places to be closed?

Level 4 restrictions will see pubs, bars, gyms, restaurants and all non-essential shops close for three weeks.

Many gym owners argue its services are essential for people's health and well being, as well as keeping up people's fitness.

Is it right to close gyms?
