Poll: Do you agree with Highland Council's decision not to ban Strip Clubs in the region? NHS Highland and women's groups didn't want any at all but the dancers themselves say they were sidelined

Many consider them harmful for a variety of reasons ranging from them acting as a trigger for violence against women while many others consider them relatively harmless, including some of the dancers themselves.

The issue came to light due to consultation responses to the council's licensing committee from NHS Highland and the Highland Violence Against Women Partnership.

Both bodies said strip bars were fundamentally harmful, suggesting strippers suffer a range of abuses from rape to GBH.

But the Highlands' only strip club – Private Eyes in Inverness – said those claims were "fantasy" and "shameful."

So now it is time for you to have your say – should the Highlands place a moratorium on Sex Entertainment Venues or should each application be treated on a case by case basis?
