Police have issued an appeal for information after an incident in Brown Street in Inverness.

Cops said they were appealing for information after a fire was lit outside a house, around 2.30pm on Friday December 17.

A police spokesman said: "Fireraising - Police are appealing for information regarding a wilful fireraising which took place at 2:30am Friday 17th December at an address in Brown Street, Inverness.

"The front door of a property was set alight however quickly extinguished by SFRS and nobody was injured.

"Anyone with any information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
