POLICE in Inverness have urged residents to be vigilant following a number of thefts from vehicles.

The incidents all happened overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

Personal items and a small quantity of cash was stolen.

Inspector Graham Brown said: "The incidents reported to us have happened predominantly in the Kinmylies area as well as Bishop's View and Brudes Hill.

"I would ask that anyone who has any information or who saw anything unusual or suspicious overnight reports this to police on 101 using reference number 0431 of 14 March.

"I would also urge residents to review their security. Don't leave valuables in your car and always ensure that your vehicle is locked. If possible try to park it in a well lit area.
