Officers from Police Scotland's Highland and Islands division are searching for missing 23-year-old John Wright from Inverness who was last seen yesterday

Officers from Police Scotland are trying to trace a vulnerable Inverness man.

They have appealed to the public for help in trying to find 23-year-old missing person John Wright.

He has links to the Tain area and a spokesman said: "John was last seen in the Leachkin Road area of Inverness about 11.20 am, Wednesday 16th March 2022.

"He is about 5ft 5ins tall, with a stocky build and medium length, dark brown hair and a beard.

"John has a local accent and when last seen was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black zipper top and black trainers.

"Officers are concerned for John's wellbeing and keen to trace him, if anyone has seen John or has information as to his whereabouts please contact police as a matter of urgency."

Anyone with any information should contact 101 quoting incident 1091 of March 16, 2022.
