A man has now been charged in connection with an incident involving a flat fire which resulted in a police stand-off with an armed response unit.
Officers remain at the scene today (Monday, April 4) of the fire wrecked property at Polvanie View, Inverness.
Emergency services were called out to the residential street on Thursday (March 31) afternoon amid reports of concern for a person.
Police Scotland said a man (40) was shot by armed officers and arrested before being taken to Raigmore Hospital with "serious injuries".
On Monday morning a police presence was still in the area.
A police spokesman said: "A 40-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident."
