Under the terms of the sex offenders’ registration requirements, Calum Thomson (57), of Bruce Gardens, Inverness should have done so within three days.

He appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted the notification failure.

The court heard that police checked his internet enabled devices on March 26, 2021 and discovered the two user names.

He was checked again on April 2 and one of the user names was still in use.

Fiscal depute Karen Poke said that the following day, Thomson went to Burnett Road Police Station and provided a list of user names to police.

But the prosecutor said the two names were not on it.

Thomson was fined £210 by Sheriff Margaret Neilson.
