Police make CCTV appeal following assault in Inverness

Police Scotland have released an image of a man they wish to speak to who may be able to assist with their enquiry into a serious assault which took place in Inverness on Saturday January 7, 2023.

The incident took place on Baron Taylor Street in the city around 3:25am.

The man is described as being approximately 6 feet tall, medium build, dark hair and facial hair, wearing a khaki green jacket and denim jeans.

He may also have a piercing to his left eyebrow.

Police Scotland are keen to speak to this man who may have information which could assist with their enquiries. They encourage him or anyone who may recognise him to get in touch.

Anyone who can assist is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number CR/3010/23 of 7 January 2023.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.

UPDATE (Saturday July 29 at 5.05pm): A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Following our earlier release, we have now located the man we wanted to speak to."
