Police investigating sexual assault of young woman in Inverness

Police say they are investigating a report of a sexual assault on a 23-year-old woman in the Hilton area of Inverness.
The attack is said to have taken place near Cauldeen Steps, close to Cauldeen Primary School by the Broom Drive/Culduthel Road junction in Hilton.
The incident was reported last night.
Police officers, including some wearing white forensic overalls, were attending the scene this morning.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “An investigation is under way following a report of a sexual assault of a 23-year-old woman near Cauldeen Steps in Inverness. Enquiries are ongoing.”
The spokesperson said no further information on the assault was currently being disclosed.
