Police investigate reports of late-night disturbance involving group of men in Inverness city centre

Police in Inverness are investigating reports of a group of men behaving inappropriately in the city centre late at night over the weekend.

The incident, which happened near the Caledonian pub, was initially highlighted by witnesses who posted a video on social media.

It was later reported to the police.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said inquiries were being carried out.

"Police Scotland was made aware of a disturbance involving a group of men behaving inappropriately on the High Street in Inverness overnight on Saturday, July 18 going into Sunday, July 19.

"Inquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting incident 2248 of July 19, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
