POLICE are appealing for information following reports of a man acting indecently within Culloden Woods.

The man was seen in the fenced off "dugless" section of the woods around 3.45pm yesterday.

He is described as being his 20s, between 5ft 6in and 6ft tall and of slim build.

At the time he was wearing a beige jumper with darker horizontal stripes.

Sergeant Stuart Fitzpatrick said: "Incidents such as this are unusual in Inverness but I would like to reassure people that we have no reports of this man approaching anybody in the woods.

"We are taking this report very seriously and would urge anyone who believes they may have seen this man to let us know.

"If you were in the Culloden Woods area around this time then please think back and contact police if you may have information of use.

"You can contact Police Scotland by calling 101, quoting incident NN1938/19, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
