Police hunt man in the Dalneigh area of Inverness who was approaching children

Police in Inverness are appealing for witnesses after a man was approaching children in the Dalneigh area of the city.

It was around 4pm on Monday afternoon and he was described as being in his 40s, with grey/blonde hair, of slim build with a scar on his face, he was also wearing a black jacket.

Detective Sergeant Gareth Ford from the Public Protection Unit said: “This has been a frightening incident for the children involved and our enquiries are progressing.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they saw this man in the area on Monday afternoon or who has dash cam or CCTV footage from the area.”
