Police issue robbery appeal

POLICE in Inverness are hunting for two men in connection a Halloween assault and robbery investigation in the city.

The incident happened about 8pm on Saturday on Telford Street at the junction with Telford Road.

Police said they were told two men assaulted another man in his 40s and stole money from him.

The first suspect is described as in his late 20s, tall and slim, with short dark hair. He was wearing dark jogging bottoms and a dark jacket with a zip.

The second suspect is described as around 40 years old, of medium height and chunky build, with short dark hair and a moustache, He was wearing a long grey coat down to his knees and a grey flat cap.

Police said the victim was not seriously injured and did not require hospital treatment.
