Inverness Sheriff Court heard a drunk woman became aggressive to police who offered to take her home.

Officers were called to the Eastgate Shopping Centre on June 11 and found Sally Johnstone (54) in the toilet of the M&S store.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard she shouted and swore at them.

Johnstone, of Birchbrae Drive, Inverness, admitted behaving in an abusive manner.

Solicitor Clare Russell said: "Her recollection is very vague and she is embarrassed about her behaviour."

She was ordered to carry out 80 hours of unpaid work.
