Police Scotland motorbike convoy turns heads in the Highlands as it passes along A9 and through Inverness

HIGHLAND residents were surprised today when they saw what they thought was a police motorcycle escort and a high profile VIP travelling through the region.

The four outriders surrounded a dark, blacked out, BMW vehicle as it drove along the A9 and on through Inverness earlier today.

However it is understood that the passenger was not a high ranking politician or minor celebrity and the cavalcade was in fact carrying out a training exercise.
