Police confirm 79-year-old man pronounced dead after he took unwell on Inverness footpath near Milton of Culloden

Police have confirmed that a man, who took unwell while walking near Milton of Culloden, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency services were called to the scene near Smithton roundabout yesterday morning around 9.40am.

The man, who has not been named, was 79-years-old.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police received report that a man had taken unwell on a footpath near Milton of Culloden, Inverness, around 9.40am on Wednesday October 6, 2021.

“The 79-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
