Police in Nairn are concerned for a girl who was seen in the Marine Road area of the town

Concerns have been raised by police in Nairn over a young girl who was spotted in the early hours.

A spokesman for Police Scotland's Highland & Islands Police Division said she was seen in the Marine Road area of Nairn around 6.20am today.

He added: "She is described as being around eight-years-old, with blonde hair in a ponytail and was wearing a pink dress.

"Anyone who may know who the girl is or has also seen her is urged to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0446 of October 27."
