ROAD policing officers have charged 15 motorists with speeding offences during road safety patrols on the North Coast 500 route over the weekend.
In addition, two were charged with driving without insurance and three with construction offences.
They also issued a further 22 warnings in connection with various road traffic offences.
Officers engaged with more than 100 drivers during the patrols which were part of Operation Cedar (Challenge, Educate, Detect and Reduce).
Inspector Donnie Mackinnon, of the Highlands and Islands road policing unit, said: "Our aim is to reduce road casualties and influence driver behaviour on all our roads and these dedicated patrols provide an additional road policing presence in the more rural areas in the Highlands.
"I urge all road users to think carefully about your actions and behaviour, don't take risks and be respectful to others, particularly those who live in our communities."
