Police catch motorist at 57mph in Millburn Road

A motorist who sped through Inverness at almost twice the 30mph speed limit was fined £420 and had his driving licence endorsed with three penalty points.

Benjamin Adams (20), of Blair Grove, Inverness admitted carelessly driving by driving at excessive speed for the road conditions in Millburn Road on March 17 this year.

Fiscal depute Naomi Duffy-Welsh told Inverness Sheriff Court that Adams had been travelling at 57mph on a rainy night when police caught him in a speed trap.
