Police appeal for information after Scorguie assault

POLICE in Inverness have made a fresh appeal for witnesses following a reported assault in the Scorguie area of the city.

The incident occurred between 2am and 3.30am on Wednesday, September 7 and involved a 50 year-old woman being subjected to a minor assault within a vehicle, believed to be a dark saloon car. The woman wasn’t injured.

The male driver is described as being in his forties and of Eastern European appearance.

It is believed the woman walked around the Scorguie Avenue and Scorguie Drive area for a period of time after the incident and police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the vehicle or the woman in the area to get in touch.
