UPDATE - Missing woman Carol Anne Burns traced safe and well

POLICE have confirmed that a missing woman has been traced safe and well.

This morning officers launched an appeal for help tracing Carol Anne Burns (27), after concerns were raised over her wellbeing.

She was believed to be wearing a black sleeveless top with a white long sleeve top underneath, pink skinny jeans or leggings, white trainers and is also in possession of a white hooded top.

Announcing that she has since been found, a police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that Carol Anne Burns has been traced safe and well in the local area. Many thanks to everyone who assisted."
