POLICE in Inverness have appealed for information after a man indecently exposed himself in a High Street store just two days before Christmas.

The incident happened at around 5.30pm on Friday, December 23.

Police said the man exposed himself and "acted in an inappropriate manner in front of members of the public".

He is described as white, in his mid-50s of a slim build with grey receding hair. He was wearing thin-rimmed glasses, a dark jacket and trousers and was last seen at around 5.34pm.

PC Matt Cameron said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything that could assist with our inquiries to contact police as soon as possible.

"Likewise if you recognise a man fitting the description provided please contact police as soon as possible.

"While no specific members of the public were targeted as such, it was obviously a distressing incident for those in the vicinity at the time.

"I would like to reassure the public that extensive inquiries, including CCTV work, are ongoing.
