Cawdor and West Nairnshire Community Council have been told a site for planting trees had been agreed by Lord Cawdor.

It is west of Cawdor Primary School and close to Ballichknockan Farmhouse.

Secretary Lizzie Rose reported to the council that this could potentially be developed into a community green space, with fruit trees in the future.

“This would be a nice project for the school children,” she said.

“In order for permission to be granted by Cawdor Estate, it had been agreed that the community council would maintain the site with support from local volunteers.”
