Cawdor Bowling Club is seeking permission to refurbish, aiming to replace its current 1920s-built pavilion.

A planned new structure, on the same site, would be larger than the existing one.

The club stated: "The current pavilion is not fit for purpose due to its original construction issues, its poor state of repair, access requirements, toilets, heating, insulation, and size.

"We are proposing to replace the pavilion with a building that reflects the design of the current pavilion and retains the 'village bowling club' aesthetics.

"The main feature of the current pavilion is the covered veranda – which will be retained in the new building."

The hope is that a new pavilion would accommodate both bowlers and other small community groups.
