A section of road between Torvean Bridge and Tomnahurich Bridge in Inverness will be closed from 8am-5pm on Tuesday.

It will allow contractor RJ McLeod to carry out some work on behalf of Highland Council.

A council spokesman said: "Drivers are being advised that the road, on the approaches to the bridge, between the two roundabouts will be temporarily closed to traffic.

"The work involves the erection of a fence behind the adjacent pedestrian crossing.

"A diversion for drivers will be available via the Tomnahurich Bridge."
