Plan your perfect wedding day at Lochardil House
With its picturesque leafy setting, idyllic grounds and stunning Victorian country house architecture, Lochardil House Inverness is the perfect venue for the most romantic of Highland weddings!
Reopened in March, the 28-bedroom hotel is looking forward to welcoming couples and their families on their special day and ensuring a Lochardil House wedding exceeds all their expectations!
Couples can discover just what makes Lochardil House such a fabulous venue at its first wedding fayre on Sunday 26th May from 12pm to 4pm when visitors can explore the hotel, its banqueting suite and gardens, enjoy complimentary refreshments and meet with local exhibitors who can help plan every aspect of the big day ‒ from bridal and occasion wear, photography and cakes, to flowers, entertainment and much more.
At 2pm there will be a fashion show of the latest bridal trends courtesy of Opallily Bridal and The Hitching Post Bridal, while Rouge Boutiques will show beautiful occasion wear for mother of the bride.
There will also be sample menus to view and a beautifully decorated wedding table guaranteed to inspire.
“It’s important to highlight that we are once again hosting weddings,” explained general manager, Robert Ratcliffe.
“Lochardil House has for many years been a highly regarded, privately owned four star hotel hosting dozens of weddings each year. Since taking over the hotel in February I’ve lost count of the number of people who have said they held their own wedding reception here or attended as a guest. We have a good historical reputation for weddings and functions and it’s my aim to rekindle that reputation.”
The team at Lochardil House boast a wealth of experience and offer very much a bespoke wedding service, ensuring couples can enjoy the wedding they truly want.
In the experienced hands of wedding and events coordinator, Mollie Mackenzie, couples can discuss their wedding plans in detail, including meeting with head chef Walter Walker to consider menus which will be tailored to their wishes.
Couples will also receive complimentary bed and breakfast on their wedding night, and for their guests a special wedding rate for accommodation is offered.
If your heart is set on an outdoor ceremony, the four acres of grounds surrounding the hotel offer a beautiful setting in the warmer months while the banqueting suite is perfect all year round and can comfortably seat up to 140 guests.
Under the new ownership of Highland Coast Hotels, Lochardil House aims to bring to the Highland capital not only a fabulous wedding and events venue but a welcoming hub for the community ‒ the place where families can share special occasions and celebrations such as birthday parties, christenings and anniversaries as well as enjoy lunches, dinners and delicious afternoon teas prepared by the talented kitchen team using the finest local, seasonal produce.
And local recruitment has been key too. Since reopening in March, the hotel has recruited over 30 staff from the local area, including many from Lochardil itself.
“We’ll strive to bring Lochardil House back to its former glory having a good reputation and well respected whilst serving the local community,” added Robert.
