TALENTED pipers and drummers are preparing to put on a spectacular display for Highland crowds this weekend.

Army, sea and air cadets have been rehearsing at the Cameron Barracks ahead of a concert in Inverness.

“This year as a thank you to the Highlands who support us so well we will be raising funds for Highland Disability Sport who are sending a team to the Special Olympics later this year,” said Colonel Malcolm MacBean of the Army Cadet Force Pipes and drums.

The concert will be held in the Ironworks in Inverness today from 7pm. Go to www.ironworksvenue.com for tickets.

The pipers and drummers also took part in Beating of the Retreat in Dingwall High Street yesterday afternoon.
