It was an Easter like no other as popular attractions were almost completely deserted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Restrictions meant play parks, businesses and other attractions were closed in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Advice to stay at home and only take exercise within walking distance of your front door appears to be heeded by people in Inverness and Nairn as places like Whin Park and Nairn beach were more or less empty.

Meanwhile, social distancing measures were evidenced at supermarkets across the area.

It is not known how long restrictions will last or when advice will change.
