Singers and musicians joined forces for a live music micro-festival at Drumnadrochit after it was postponed last month.

The dashh-n’ the Drum event at Polmaily House featured a varied programme including Highland Voices Gospel Choir.

It was organised by members Mary Dawn Mohun, Emma Fraser and Hayley Airey who formed dashh, via a karaoke app when coronavirus restrictions prevented rehearsals.

Having released three recordings, the trio were looking forward to their first live gig last month but postponed it amid rising cases of Covid-19.

They were thrilled it had finally gone ahead, saying it was "amazing" to hear such an eclectic mix of musicians – all local, passionate about performing and great craic.

"Everyone embraced the spirit of dashh-n’ the Drum and brought their smiles, support and love and we are grateful," they said.

Also appearing were Dylan James Tierney, Ezra, The Vandal, Black Isle Peas, Siobhan Neylon and Fraser |Goodall and Billy. It was hosted by Venus Guytrap.
